What is video poker? Video poker uses a machine that can be compared to a slots machine. Just like a slots machine a video poker machine is operated by a Random Number Generator (RNG). This system makes a selection of numbers that represent the card numbers. The difference between the two machines is the game itself. With a gambling machine the casino player must get the same symbols. With a video poker machine the goal is to win the five cards of a poker hand.

Video poker is played with 52 cards. Deze are ordered by their value. This means that the Ace is worth the most, followed by the King, the Queen and the Jack, 10, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2. Though the ace can also be worth 1 and thus be used to create a low straight. The value of poker is decided by the various cards; spades, clubs, checks, and hearts.

The most played Casino Video Poker games are Jack-or-Better Draw Poker, Deuces Wild Poker and Joker Poker. In these casino games, the players each get 5 cards. It is then up to the player whether or not he wants to keep the cards or trade them. With the eventual 5 cards it is decided how muc the player has won. This has done with the “payout” table.
